Bots outnumber humans on the Internet

Bots outnumber humans on the Internet

So we all know that Skynet is coming but I guess I didn’t expect it would come quite this *fast*. According to the cloud firm Incapsula, between this year and last, bots went from making up 51 percent of web traffic to 61.5 percent. Most of that, they found, was due to increased activity by “good bots” like search engines, who traverse the web for the betterment of mankind. Spam bots, comparatively, are on the decline.

Hat-tip to Josh Greenman and Meghan Neal. Click “Know More” to read the full report from Incapsula.
