The more you spend on your wedding, the more likely you are to get divorced

The more you spend on your wedding, the more likely you are to get divorced

This chart by Randy Olson is based on data from a new study on the economics of wedding ceremonies. Surprisingly, despite the finding that expensive weddings do not lead to more stable marriages, the authors also found that weddings with more attendees are less likely to lead to divorces, while wealthier people in general are less likely to be divorced.

Many thanks to Olson for sharing his work with Know More, as always.
